webhosting best practices
Dear Experts:
We are into the product selling hence we get more leads from the website, website is very much important for our business, so far we had outsourced the webhosting services to the service provider, this company was maintaining our web hosting services , design part, web SEO ,SEM and SMO but not the corparate mail server , in addition another website i,e our project web hosting and email services also.
Slowly this service provider started demanding more money and finally when compared to others this service provider is demanding nearly 8 to 10 times more, hence management has taken as step to terminate the contract and look for other service provider.
As of now this service provider have given only domain control panel credentials but not yet provided hosting control panel login credentials.
our web service is of windows based.
Please suggest on the following:
1. what are all the service provider should provide us in addition to the hosting control panel credentials and web content , please list all accordingly will ask the service provider to provide the same.
2. To avoid such problems with new service provider, is it recommended to subscribe for hosting space and have a complete control on it then provide this credentials to the new web service provider to host web services, please suggest
Request to suggest me on above 1 and 2 , Iam looking for the best/recommended practices.
