Citrix Installation

I just installed Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 on a Windows 2003 server, but I cannot publish any applications.  I am a local admin on the server.  I installed Citrix with my ID, but it appears that I am not an Citrix administrator.  What have I missed.  Why can I not publish applications?

You must be a Citrix administrator.  That is an absolute requirement.

Also, you should seriously look at moving to XA 5.0.  It's the last version for Windows 2003, and contains substantial fixes over 4.5.   Additionally, 4.5 is at EOL very soon (if not already).

can you try to add your user account as member of admin account.did you installed license server and citrix server able to communicate to license server?

Assuming that you have two admin accounts, i.e., local admin and domain admin, try using the other one to get into the console.  Then go into the Administrators tab and add the other one.

It's better to make all changes using the domain administrator account so that you don't run into any permissions issues along the way.

I do not have a domain admin account only a local admin account.  I thought a local admin account was sufficient.  Please advise.

A local admin should work, but again, you must be a Citrix Administrator.
