I have deployed the sample asp.net application with membership to the server detailed in the title of this question.<br />

My application uses asp.net 4<br />
<br />
When trying to register a new user, I get the following error<br />

&quot;Access denied creating App_Data subdirectory&quot;<br />
<br />
which means that the sample web application cannot be used...<br />
<br />
Anyone know how to solve this? It should be a very common issue, however I do not find a clear explanation just by googling<br />
