windows shutdown

Hello everyone,

I need some help.... when shutting down my laptop I keep getting this error msg. See pic.
Can someone tell me what it means or point me in the right direction so I can fix it. No visible programs are open when I shutdown.

See if netsession is in Add/Remove programs and uninstall it. I do not have the program and have not seen it at clients, so it may not be essential to have installed.

You might be infected. Run a full scan using your updated AD. Also run a anti malware.

It may be due to Virus or the program run even after the shundow intiated.

Check if Autoend Task has been enabled on the system. To check this

Go to Start -> Run and type regedit
Expand the treeview to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
If the value AutoEndTasks isn't there already, you can create it. It should be a string value (REG_SZ).

•Setting it to 0 will disable it (tasks will have to be ended manually)
•Setting it to 1 will enable it (it will automatically end the programs for you)
Reboot for changes to take effect.
Your help has saved me hundreds of hours of internet surfing.

check if you have the same problem when you boot into safe mode (F8 key)

Looks like you have accidentally installed Akamai NetSession Installware
