"Error 1935: An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT,public
We've stepped through the resolution posted on the VMware KB (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1037872), but still continue to encounter the same error.
Running "regsvr32 mfc90.dll" produces another error:
"The module "mfc90.dll" failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files. The specified module could not be found."

did you run windows update before installing vmware tools?
