Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
Hi Experts
I am receiving this error "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." in Exchange 2010 (SBS 2011 64B) when trying to add or modify Mailboxs or Public Folders in Exchange Management Console.
History
- New Migration from SBS 2003 to SBS 2011 (i have done this 13 times this is the first time seen this error)
- During Migration I had issues with Public Folder and OAB (Offline Address Book)
- They were 88 Updates after Migration Including .Net Framework
Things I have Tried
- To resolve the errors in Public Folder and OAB had to use ADSI edit (so could be something I deleted)
- I tried repairing .Net Framework 3 and 4 tried 64B as well...ServiceModelReg.exe –r
- I tried repairing ASP.NET
- I have Goggled more than 200 Pages
- I have contacted Microsoft 2 days ago but have not returned my call
- I prayed to Virgin Mary and she was no help either
Please help!!!

{{I think that's the wrong patron saint to pray to for this error... and I can't remember which one it is, so try doing a non-denominational invocation.}}

End up paying MS to fix the issue as no one had an answer that could help. Thank you
That doesn't sound right. You should get a call back within a couple of hours.
Second of all...
I think that's the wrong patron saint to pray to for this error... and I can't remember which one it is, so try doing a non-denominational invocation.
Thirdly...
Everything points to a bad AutoDiscover configuration. So I would double-check yours.... the easiest way to do this is to run the SBS BPA and maybe the Exchange BPA as well.
