Microsoft Outlook 2010 with GMail POP Error 0x800CCC0F

Hi Guys,

I have Google Apps (the free version) implemented within my organization, my system setup is the following

ISP -> SonicWall Firewall -> Windows SBS 2011 -> Nodes (each node has Outlook with POP access to Gmail)

Everything was working fine till a few days ago when I started getting the following error in Outlook (while sending emails with attachments only!)

"Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F): The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues contact your server administrator or your internet service provider (ISP)"

I tried disabling my antivirus, playing around with outlook settings but nothing changed. Email's go perfectly fine when they are sent without any attachments.

I tried enabling logging in Outlook, and here are the two logs,

I noticed the last 2-3 lines of the failure one do not have any rx transmission after the go ahead.

I'm sorry if this is long, but can anyone help me out! I don't know how to fix this.

Does this problem occur with any attachment, or just a specific type or size. For example, if you attach a 2 line .txt file, what happens?

Change to IMAP if you can. It will be much more reliable.

Sorry for not replying for a while :( I didn't see the solutions posted till today! When I try to send even a 2 line text file, the same problem occurs. But when there's no attachment the email goes without a glitch.

I may switch to IMAP, but I'm really hoping I can continue with POP.

No, none at all. I'm thinking maybe my ISP changed some settings, even though they claim they haven't..but I don't believe them!
