OpenOffice calc change value from multiple places
Hello!
I work in openoffice calc. I set up product calculations in separate sheets. I have a summary page where I collect basic information from each product. One of these things is the number of products sold per year.
What I would like to achieve is to change this value both from a product sheet and from the overview page. Maby some kind of reffernce.
Trying to search for it, but its hard to describe what i want.

I am not sure that I follow your needs. You may need to post your sheet or a sample.

I have attached a simple example.
I don't know if it's possible to do this, but it would be very practical in many situations.

Thanks for the sample that helps some. Just to make sure I have the problem defined correctly, I want to restate it.

You would like to be able to enter a value in cell B3 in Sheet2 and have it update cell b5 in sheet1. You would also like the reverse to be true. Update cell B5 on sheet 1 and have it update cell B3 on Sheet2. Is this correct?
If I have this correct, I may have to think through it for a little bit. We could do something with a Macro, but it might take some work. I am thinking you could have a value in cell B5 on sheet1 and then in cell C5 on that sheet you would have a value referencing "Sheet2.B3". The macro could read that value and make sure the cells match. The trick would come in knowing which cell had just been updated. I think this can be done but will have to test. If have I have the scenario correct, let me know. It will take a few days for me to have enough time to hash out the ideas for a macro, but I will take a look.

I am very sorry for the late reply, but I've been ofline for a few days.
That's exactly what I'm looking for. It would certainly be a nice feature, but it's not something that really is absolutely necessary for me.
I really appreciate your help, but I don't think you should put so much energy in it.
Have a nice day :)
