Adobe PDF printing comes out with what looks to be corrupted PDF's

I am working with a customer to print out several 11x17 print jobs from Bentley Microstation v8i  version 180 and version 443 (Series 2) have been tested.
- Issues with the print output where the customers logo gets flaky and what looks to be the image gets corrupted....

One of the issues is that when printing the PDF which shows Grid lines ok in the Bentley Microstation software ok, the output from the Ricoh C4501 using either a PS or PCL 5c driver shows the following.

The vertical and horizontal lines are missing.  - print1-grid-false.pdf
The grid shows up but the lines up above which act as a legend of sorts, I believe it is called a line style, is messed up. - print2-grid-true.pdf

We have switched between using Adobe Acrobat Reader X and the full version Pro X.
Same issues.

We have tried printing to another printer, an HP but that printer doesn't print out 11x17.

We have spoken many times with Bentley support, their thought is that it is a Ricoh firmware issue or that the print driver is problematic.

The border and grid working shows both the line styles and more working ok.
I don't see a good source for troubleshooting the issue from Adobe standpoint. Has anyone out there had issues with Microstation printing out these PDF's

The customer has sent PDF's to clients and the same issues printing occur.

The printer here is a Ricoh C4501:

Again the main issue is that we have moved from the RPCS driver to requiring an PCL or PS driver. The printing issues are occurring at this time.

They could include a ghost image shadow, incorrect fonts/text, damaged images in Adobe.

Is that in Adobe?

We print our CAD drawing from Microstation V8i to a PDF.
Then we send the pdf file to other people. They have different issues than we do.

I think we may have some settings in Bentley v8i that aren't matching up well with Adobe.
The logo comes from a href link in Excel file. The log prints out all messed up sometimes. Other times it is fine. The issue occurs primarily when we're using PS print driver.

Just updated print driver for the Ricoh MP C4501 to the PCL5c driver for everyone.
The PS driver for Windows 7 x64 has more problems with the logo icon at the bottom of the sheet.

Are there any recommendations on Adobe Settings that should be changed from Defaults when using it with Microstation?

Do we need to back off using Adobe 9 and X? Or are there just settings we need to turn off that were added / enabled in the newer versions that bring image issues and shading problems in the acrobat documents?

Does anyone know of an area within Adobe that gives me logs of files as they are converted to PDF so I can detect incompatabilities?
Hairlines and line thickness are set in the CAD software, not in the Acrobat writer or reader. Try changing the line thickness in Microstation
I agree with hdhondt. You should be able to change the setting when you "plot to pdf".
The end user is working directly with Bentley and Ricoh support to find the resolution to this. Right now, it may be the actual user configuration files ucf's or the pcf's they keep sending us blank ones to use when printing things out.

I will update you when they advise what the resolution is.

hanks for the points. And thanks for confirming my guess about grey hairlines was correct, even if I couldn't give you the correct fix for it.
Sorry it took so long to get back to you guys. Thank you for your help. Your recommendations did assist me in finding the resolution and we did need to adjust the greyscale values because the PCL6 driver handles grey and black differently than the PS driver did.
The grids and borders as well as the measured points in the files were all lighter in color.
