Failed Backup VSS Writer - Timed Out

Hi Experts... I am getting started with Backup Exec 2012 and am having trouble backing up one of my servers. It is the server that runs backup exec. It runs through the backup but but fails with a VSS snapshot error. Below is the VSSadmin writer list. I have applied the latest SP but still get the same error. I resized my partitions and was wondering if that might be the cause.

I ran your batch file and rebooted system. All the writers come up stable now. I am going to run my back up to see if that was the issue. Will let you know in 2 hours.
I use Dell AppAssure for backups which is heavily reliant on VSS. On 2 of my servers (08 Standard 64bit) i also needed to apply the below hotfix.

I will apply that if the backup fails. I noticed it seemed to be for 2003 Server? I had looked a AppAssure and was impressed with it. I stayed with Symantec because I had a better priciing model with upgrade path.
I saw that after i posted, i needed that one for my 2003 servers. The hotfix for 08 that i needed was http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970770.
