Netapp Expanding a LUN
I have a 1.2TB LUN on a 1.6GB Volume.  How can I increase the size of the LUN?  Can I just bump up the number in the Size parameter and apply and all is good?  The Volume says it has 30% free.  See attached.  Thank you.

Your volume looks like it has enough space so you can

1.  increases the LUN size first in filerview
2.  Go into Operating System and if using Windows 2008 you can extend the the volume onto the empty space that will show up.  If using Windows 2003 you can use diskpart.

If you have snapdrive on the exchange server you can do all of this within the OS.  Hopefully you also have snapmanager for Exchange to make a backup before you start.  If you have snapdrive you should also do space reclaimation on the log volume.

We do have snapdrive.  So no need to go into FilerView?  Just do it all in SME?

Thanks!

Excellent.  Thank you!  There is another 400GB on the volume available.  So SnapDrive it is!

Computer data storage, often called storage or memory, is a technology consisting of computer components and recording media used to retain digital data. In addition to local storage devices like CD and DVD readers, hard drives and flash drives, solid state drives can hold enormous amounts of data in a very small device. Cloud services and other new forms of remote storage also add to the capacity of devices and their ability to access more data without building additional data storage into a device.
