scansnap manager - message Access is denied. (0x80070005)

hi experts,

I have a fujitsu 1500 scanner and just got it to work a couple of days ago. now all of a sudden i get this pop up window when I scan. I can scan two documents and then this window comes up.

scansnap manager - message Access is denied. (0x80070005)
the system may be unstable.
close other applications and resident programs to secure enough memory.
it the problem persists, restart the computer.

i have 4gb of ram and 500gb hdd!

how can I fix this error?

We have the Scansnap 300, 1500's.
First question is what OS are you using? XP Windows 7. One DEFINATE problem I have personally seen is the drivers meaning, xp driver on a windows 7 machine. That would be the first one to check. I also know they are a PAIN on scansnaps website.
Next question is are you installing software by disk or driver off website?
I would completely uninstall software. First through control panel, then C: Programs Files, then Scan snap folder delete it.
reboot.
then install before connecting the scanner.
also very important, disable any firewall or antivirus before installing.
The disks are hard to come by , you can request a direct download link but you have to fill out a request that is not very user friendly on the site.

windows 7 pro
i downloade the latest software from their website.
i did the software install with the scanner powered down then powered up the scanner.

One thing to check as well is the location of the install, make sure it is not on a virtual drive, different partition. Scan snap is finicky so if that "looks" good, I would do the full uninstall and manually uninstall the folders then retry the install again. keep us posted.
