Retention Policy - Exchange 2010

Hi,
I created a new "Retention Policies" with name "NFE Retention Policy" and assign tags to the policy "1 Month Delete" (default policy of Exchange 2010), after specify only a mailbox to this policy,  however not deleted no message. Still there are all messages in this mailbox.
How can I resolve this problem?
I need exclude all messages after 1 month only to one mailbox (user mailbox).

If I run command "Start-ManagedFolderAssistant -Mailbox bharat.suneja@contoso.com", will delete messages only from this user?
I need to apply this policy only to this mailbox and cannot affect any other account.
