How to view NTFS permissions for all folders in a drive

Hello,
I'm looking for a program or command that I can run that will give me a report of the NTFS permissions assigned to each folder and their rights to the folders. I've tried icacls which is good but it gives me a list of the permission for all files and folders and it does not list it in a format the I can use like Excel.

Can you please advise?

Thank you.

Did you mean XCACLS ?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318754

There are some switches that might limit the results so they aren't so unusable.

There are other apps (not free) that do what you want.

Varonis - Data Privilege
Scriptlogic - Security Reporter

My favorite tool for this is the free DumpSec (http://www.systemtools.com/somarsoft/index.html)
Set the Permissions Report Options to not show the owner, and to "Show directories (not files) whose permissions differ ..." to create the most concise report possible.
Then save the report as "Tab separated cols" instead of "Native DumpSec format".

Hi there,

Follow this tutorial, powershell script included to do an audit of the NTFS permission + this creates a cvs file which can be opened in Excel.

Hope you like it.

We use this all the time. Hope this is what you're looking for.
