I don't know much, so perhaps idiot proof your answers.  My SBS 2008 is on an Intel board, I'll post the board number in a minute.  Issue is I installed a Corsair GT Force and it did show up in the initial Intel bios screen as a non-RAID disc in slot 0 and the RAID hd's showed up in 2, 3 and 4 slots and my backup hd showed up in slot 5, but once SBS booted up, I don't see the Corsair.  What should I do?  Do I need to format it?  I think the OS thinks it is a USB drive or something, the way it is acting. I do have it on a SATA port on the board, like the other hd's.  What do I need to do so the OS see's this hd as a drive "E"?

Turn off the RAID, enable AHCI, and make sure you have the proper slot.  You also need to make sure that you go to the Intel site and download the latest FIRMWARE, BIOS, and Drivers.

If it doesn't show up in the BIOS, look at the manual and make sure you picked an appropriate slot, and that you are configuring that particular slot for the parameters I suggested.

Once the BIOS sees it, then windows will detect a drive, but you won't be able to put a drive letter on it until you run disk administrator. Then it will say there is a new HDD and ask you to check a box to put a signature on it. Then you tell windows to format it (takes a few seconds), and what HDD letter to use.

Be sure to set NTFS of 64KB instead of taking the default.  That gives you marginally better performance in most cases.
