Best Training exercises for server 2008 r2?

I just got set up with vmware player and put 2008 server on it. I was just wondering what would be the best way for a beginner to utilize this software so when I am in a small business setting and have to configure a server, i will be ready.

If you wish, you may visit my blog and read articles to start playing with Windows Server 2008/2008R2
http://kpytko.wordpress.com/

as your first article, you may start with setting up forest root domain

If you wish a guided tour and have the time and the money, spend it to one of the trainsignal Video courses. In short pieces you get a deep knowledge of all the important tools, and if you spend some extra hours you can earn an MCITP. You find all available trainigs here:

Oh, I did not understand that this way, sorry :)
Really good start is virtual lab from Microsoft at
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/evaluate/virtual-labs.aspx

and of course tons of books to read, which may be accessed over Safari books online
http://my.safaribooksonline.com/

and of course practice :D
