Internet Explorer & Firefox won't open
Internet explorer and firefox won't. Computer has Xp as its operating system. Symantec is also installed as the anti virus and is up to date. What can I do?

Me and my family have had that same problem, what we did was download the latest Firefox from a another computer and then installed it. that should work, but it may very do to if that is the only problem.
Try disabling BHOs, Toolbars and other browser add-ins...
You might try HiJackThis utility to assist in this regard...

Also, Symantec is NOT the best anti-malware going...
You might want to try some other, more reliable sources to verify that the PC is not infected...
