Uninstalling plesk

I have plesk 8.6.0 installed on a Linux server. I am concerned about security issues with this outdated version and one option is to uninstall it all together

If plesk is uninstalled, will MySQL tables or email accounts be affected? Is plesk just an interface for accessing features such as email and databases or does it affect the OS in any way?

thanks for your answers

Plesk is control panel used to manage your server. Please note that after removing plesk we cant guarantee that your server will work fine as before. It is always recommended to backup your entire websites and databases and migrate to another server having updated plesk version.

Buy a new server. Install latest version of plesk on it. Migrate all the accounts from this server using plesk migration manager. This is the best method.

Once everything is completed wipe the old server.
