Ubuntu server got error this morning and the screen shows:

unexpectedly returned failed while handling /devices/virtual/block/ram14

udevd -work [65] '/sbin/blkid -o udev -p /dev/hda5'

unexpected exit with status 0x0004

I suspect hard disk problem more than RAM ! Is there any tools for checking HD or RAM, and above error can be fixed ? Please help~

PS Ubuntu Server was installed on Mac Mini running PPC CPU.

Does the server boot? I would use SMART Data or the command line utility smartctl

The server didn't boot? I will try to run live CD and run tools

Does the boot menu of  your PPC install CD have a memory test option? Try that first.

Is this the CD you used?

No memory test on Ubuntu Server CD, I tried to run Ubuntu desktop CD for PPC version 12.x, but it shows error when boot from it, anyway I use another machine to take that role.
