Learn the book, practice everything you learned is the best possible answer to your question.

Take a look over here, they give some extra labs, info that you can study to prepare you for taking the exam.

That's a default answer I could give to any question about any exam: learn the book & practice + a link to a training-site.

I meant: did somebody take the exam, what are the pitfalls, the focuses. Is the exam still "alive" since 2012 is there now, how long will the exam still be there, what about the differences between 2007 & 2012, is  it worth doing exam 2007, then do the upgrade to 2012?

The exam is still there, will be there for some time. SCCM 2012 is more complex then SSCM 2007. So take the SCCM 2007 and just run the SCCM 2012 renewal test. Then you get 2 certificates, and the recertification exam for SCCM 2012 is a lot easier then the SCCM 2007 exam.

The examquestions change a lot but you can find Exam dumps.

Thanks, that was what I needed! I have a lab in which I 've setup SCCM 2007, I might be involved in a project of setting up SCCM 2012 but don't have the software yet (can't download the vhd, some rar-s are corrupt (part 3, 11 & 12 of the beta version).

Just wonder if it is worth to spend more time on SCCM 2007 when the actual goal is the 2012 certificate but I guess the basics are the same and getting the 2007 exam will be easier for somebody who doesn't work every day with 2012-version.
Just wonder: is it a big struggle to migrate to 2012 (lab environment so I can start from scratch but my lab-clients have the 2007 agent) or straight forward?

Please also what the SCCM 2012 renewal test is ....

I'd also be very interested to know the major differences between 2007/2012.

SCCM 2012 renewal test is for people with the certificate of SCCM 2007. So they don't need to learn everything over again. It's just a test, that they still know everything about SCCM with the new features of SCCM 2012.

For the struggle to migratie to 2012. That depends if you want to do it all by yourself without reading the 2012 book. But you can find some great tutorials how to migrate from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012. So it's actually really easy.

Thanks! I'll go for the 2007, then renewal 2012 exam then!
However, googled after sccm 2012 renewal test, but didn't find anything.
Do you know where to find it?

Well normally it should be there. I searched my prometric account. But can't even find the exam of SCCM 2012.

Normally they provide this. Collegue of mine did it with sbs 2003 to newer version. A friend from Server 2003 to Server 2008.

But I even can't schedule an SCCM 2012 exam. Best to verify it, is to contact prometric directly. Don't want to give false info. But I'm sure SCCM will do the same as the server certificates.

I checked with GlobalKnowledge training center. They asked a trainer. He claims there will be no upgrade exam.

Ok, bummer for SCCM recertification exam. But I would still get the SCCM 2007 certificate. The step to SCCM 2012 is not that big, so you can then always get the 2012 certificate aswell.
If you have those 2 certificates, it's better for your paycheck :).
