How to exceute a batch  file using  JSP

          I am a newbie to JSP. Could anyone help me how to execute batch file using JSP?

    What kind of a batch file? What does it do?

    It will execute some db scripts. At least i need some command level executions.Is that possible to do?

    You'd probably be better off with a servlet. You could use the following, though i'm not sure you would have 100% control over threading/processes in the context of a web container.
