Creating a text file (.txt) from an Excel Spreadsheet - Excel 2007

I would like to create a .txt file from an Excel Spreadsheet.  What is the best way to do this?

In Excel click "Save As" and change to .txt file.  You will have to do this for each spreadsheet.  It will save as Tab separated Text.

Is there a way to add a delimeter?  Also, when I try this the fields that need to be blank and separated by a delimeter are being ingored.
