unable to see DC's of source domain in ADMT

I'm using  ADMT to migrate users from a new domain that we have a 2 ways trust set up with.

But I cannot see their dc's when starting ADMT... Screen shot.

Now I can rdp to the dc by ip, but not by dns.

Any way to select the dc by ip in ADMT?

Hi,

Since the ADMT uses Netbios to resolve the names, instead of DNS name, did you try Netbios name?

Also ensure two way trust is setup properly and required ports are open on firewall.

the only port I read about was rdp, which works.

The 2 wat trust is up and running and firewall is disabled on the dc's.

Uou say try netbios name, but there is no way to enter in the name of the DC. It's get populated when it connects to the domain.

If admt uses netbios for names, how does that work? I thought netbios is not routable.

These domain are on 2 different subnets.

If they are on different subnet then you need to use WINS. Also did you verify that the trust is fine.

Before WINS, you can try to remove and re-establish trust and see if that help.
