Setting up Lync 2010 with 2 domains
Here's my situation. I need to deploy Lync 2010 and before I do I need to clarify an issue I know I will encounter. Due to a recent acquisition, our internal AD domain is domain1.com while our email is hosted Office 365 Exchange with otherdomain.com as the email address.
At this time, due to a custom application heavily in use, I can't change our internal AD domain to otherdomain.com and must remain as domain1.com. However, I need Lync to use the otherdomain.com.
Is there a way to login to Lync (internally - not hosted) using the otherdomain.com while sitting on the domain1.com network? I could create a domain internally just for the Lync server to match otherdomain.com, but it would be best if we could somehow have single sign-in between Office 365 and the Lync server or between the domain1.com AD and the Lync server.
Any help would be appreciated.
