jQuery FancyBox and SharePoint List

I would like to take a list of URLs and build a calculated field that I can wrap with some html anchor tag with a class name I will search for and then run some jQuery to make the anchors launch their content into a FancyBox.

URL columns apparently don't like to be converted to text for a calculated field and further,  I need the calculated value to be an html anchor on the rendered page with that field listed.

SharePoint Designer and DVWP should help you get a grip on the formatting of the list. With a little bit of XSLT you can do just about any output, be it table or nested lists, add class names and anchor tags. That's how I prepare a SharePoint  list to be presented as a Mega Menu, for example.

There's a little bit of a learning curve involved, though.
