Migrating a single Sharepoint 2003 site collection to existing 2007 site collection

Hi,

I intend to migrate a single Sharepoint 2003 small site to an existing SharePoint 2007 empty site collection.

The sites have only document libraries and nothing else. What would be the easiest way to migrate over?

Is there a free-trail tool which I can use to finish this or some simple script or manual copy paste and recreate permission is the best ?

Pls advise.

Hi,

The site is small and I am unable to justify the money to pay for a migration tool. I guess copy paste using explorer view/data view is the best way to go.

Of course also have to reapply the security and web parts.
Copy and paste will get your document library items, but will not get anything else.  This is hardly a migration as you are leaving behind all the lists and libraries themselves, list items, site structure, security, web parts, etc.
Hi Ach,

You have been a great adviser but my boss refuse to put any single cent on this! I have been doing this the hard and tedious way and have completed it after two weeks of effort.

I am sure I may have make a few mistake but I don't give a damn at the moment!
LOL. I feel your pain.
