Hi all.

I'm currently having a issue with one of my Macbooks. I have Mac office 2011 and in word i use autotext. The Autotext button used to be situated in the main toolbar but has somehow undocked itself and now is a floating toolbar.

Any Ideas how i can Re-dock it back into the main toolbar??

Right Click in the menu area and select "Customize Toolbars & Menus"
    Select Customise
Then check the box marked DOCK beside the un-docked menu to restore it
     Dock a menu

Can you edit the toolbar and add the AutoText icon to another menu?

I have just tried this and it still doesn't work? I have completely run out of ideas ? do you think a re-install of office might cure the issue?

    Accepted Solution

No. Reinstalling MS Office is probably not going to help.

Open Word, then go to Preferences>File Locations and read the entry in "User Templates". That's where it *is*
Looks like the new default location is here:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office

If you quit Word ... and locate the Normal.dotm file ... and move it out to your desktop .. when you restart Word it should create a new Word template and reset all the toolbars
