Exchange Database Size

I Notice that the database size need increasing. So I change the regedit database size Limit in GB to 75. I ran Microsoft best practice I get the DataBase Size in Now 117GB? We are running windows server 2003 with exchange standard sp2

    what was the database size beforehand?

    The reg key  was 0x0000000040 (64)

    I set this in hex not decimal
