I have one windows server 2008 sp2 which is also DC  and having exchange 2010 installed

i want to install exchange on another server and just leave dc on present one

can u please let me know the steps.

    I guess this are the steps you are looking for:

    Please do not demote Exchange a machine to and from DC thats holds Exchange role.

    As you correctly said Install Exchange on a different server and transfer roles. I dont think there is an article for it but can simply use this one and make sure all Roles are transferred.

    moving exchange 2010 mailbox role to another hardware
