ASP.net securely using connection string allocated to a user

Hi

I have a website where a user logs in and the Connection String for their database is found in a table and then used behind the rest of the code. My current approach is to store the Connection String as an invisible label so the VB.net code can use it. Is this secure or should I use a different approach?

You should store it in a Static global variable.

Storing it in a hidden label is not at all secure.

Hi

Thanks

I understand what a global variable is. What makes it static?
