Crystal XI - Summarizing on formulas with groupings

I am trying to create a count on how many employees are in a wage bracket based on their job title.  I have groupings on the formulas for the wage brackets.  When I try to summarize the count I am receiving a message that I cannot summarize on a certain formula.  How do I get beyond this issue.

Formulas for Minimum, Mid and Maximum, plus 1st Quartile, 3rd Quartile and Median based on formula within for Total Annual Salary and grouping.

I have a created a formula (1st Quartile Count) to do a count on the employees within the brackets (IF Then Else) for a count of 1, but when I try to summarize the count I either cannot do it on Summary or with a formula (1st Quartile Total Count) receive a message I cannot summarize the field.  I need a count on each quartile and by Job Code.

The problem is twofold.

1.  You can't use a summary on a formula that uses a summary.
2.  Minimum and Maximum are printtime and in general can't be summarized.

You will have to use formulas and variables

Here is a first stab at it.

You need to add formatting and labels

Could I reopen this question?  I just discovered there were multiple lines for employees and needed to add another grouping for employee L, F and EE# and move data into the Group 4 area.  This was impacting the count if there were multiple employee lines and don't know where to begin to change the formulas.

The new issue seems like you should ask a new question.  It is not really related to the original question
