Just wondering reimage would solve the issue?

As I noted above, some viruses are very hard to remove. If you are prepared to re-image (as suggested earlier), back up your data, delete all partitions, create a new partition and do a full format (not quick) and then re-install the operating system. If you have recovery media, you can probably skip the format step and re-image after deleting all partitions and creating a new one. .... Thinkpads_User

That is a lot wrong with stuff that usually does not go wrong.

Is it Virus?

Yes, very likely. Scan thoroughly for viruses and malware. Once that is done, run System File Checker. Open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator. Run SFC /SCANNOW and allow to complete. Run again if errors remained. Restart and check.

The next step, if you cannot fix it as per above is to run a Windows 7 Repair Install from the Windows 7 DVD.

If that all fails, you will probably have to back up and re-install Windows 7 to get long term stability.

hmm, if you can not access the internet and can not detect new usb devices then you will not be able to scan for malware or viruses, except for what ever antivirus software you have installed. If your computer is not able to detect the memory sticks plugged into the usb ports then it would be difficult to run proper scans, even if you downloaded them to the stick from another computer. I would do as thinkpads mentioned run sfc /scannow to see if it can repair damaged files then, once the system is able to detect usb sticks then I would download on another computer Rkill , Roguekiller, and Malwarebytes. Run them in that order. But then again you do not have internet so you will not be able to download the most recent definitions for Malwarebytes, but I guess running it the way it is may be better than nothing. If your system does not recognize usb stick plugged in, try burnning the applications to a cd then run them from there. Good luck.

*. I already run sfc/ scannow. Still the same. I can't access usb port. There is only one option is left to download the software in other PC, burn them into CD & then put the CD into system to run virus check. But it's can't update the aniti virus defination as there is no internet connection. Even running is safe mode doesn't make any differance.

Which free antivirus would solve the issue? Thanks.
The ones I have previously mentioned Rkill, Roguekiller and Malwarebytes.   click on thr roguekiller icon to download where it says download link, the rest of the page is in french.

@Silense:  This may be a tough virus and indeed, it may be a rootkit virus and these are very hard to eradicate.

You may at this point wish to back up your machine and reinstall Windows fresh.

To answer the question asked...
click the 'start' orb
type cmd in the search box
hold down Ctrl+Shift and hit Enter
(or right-click the result that appears at the top of the start menu, under Programs (1), and choose Run as administrator)
answer Yes to the UAC prompt
In the command window that opens, run the command
sc PlugPlay start

sc query PlugPlay
will tell you the current status of the Plug and Play service.

If the service is already running... as others have counseled, a prescan + Scan with RogueKiller, then (without closing RogueKiller) a full scan with MBAM are definitely in order.

I run all the antivirus but still the same. Virus still there...

Just wondering reimage would solve the issue? Because backup data is virus affected. Replacing the backup data into reimage will affect the same virus again with same situation. How I clean the backup data?
Could you enumerate exactly what steps you have taken?

Please download TDSSKiller to your desktop and run a scan with it.
