LDAP Win2008

We are using mimecast for synchronising our AD data from our network to the cloud.

The portal connects fine to our exchange server (currently win2003) but fails on our new server (win 2008 r2).  I think its a security issue with 2008, as our ISP have changes the ports/rules on the firewall...

Have you checked if Windows Server 2008 has disabled firewall ? There are 3 profiles which are enabled by default and this may lead to this issue.

Please check that by opening Administrative Tools -> Windows Firewall with Advanced Security and select root node. Click on it right mouse button and choose "Properties"

Then disable it (by selecting "off") on every tab "Domain", "Private" and "Public"

Try again if you are able to connect to 2008 server now.

Disabled the public and private parts of the firewall, still no joy.  Failing to connect through to exchange.

Note, we have tried routing the traffic through from Mimecast to the 2008 DC and the exchange 2010 box.  Neither are working.  I dont know what else to try.

Was a rule issue on the managed firewall....
