We are having problems with our server upon logging in the desktop freezes. I booted into safe mode and tried to run sfc/scannow to repair the os but I am unable to do so.

I disabled the AV and now rebooting. Does anyone have any suggestions in resolving this issue?

It could be a corrupted user profile.  Does the same thing happen if you log in with a different account?

The issue was the AV, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and the issues disappeared.
