Import Outlook Email but not duplicate

I am creating a process to import Outlook email data into an ACCESS 2003 database.  The user does not want the source folder in Outlook to be cleared after import.  So, each day when new emails are imported, is there an OutlookID that is generated by Outlook to uniquely identify each email?  The user could import several times a day so I cannot use Date, subject, To or from to differentiate.

    Accepted Solution

Each saved item has an Id ... Each item has this as The entryid, a string param so that a mail may be IDEntified as application.activeexplorer.selection(1).entryid.

This would return for example the 48 character entryid as

Similarly application.session.getitemfromid("1234567890ABCDEF1234567890ABCDE1234567890ABCDEFF") returns the original item.
