Excel - Group, Auto-Outline Quirk or Error? How come it misses a group of data

In the attached worksheet and graphic, I ran Group/Auto-Outline and the application did not capture and group the female dogs, only the male dogs at the bottom of the body of data.
Why is this?
How can I have auto-outline capture both genders?

Is this how you want it to look like? If it is, here's how I did it.

1. Group Females
2. Group Males
3. Group both Males and Females
It seems as that excel will join them if you try to create 2 separate groups in the same section.

I added a subtotal for Males and Females and then I could get the 2 groups to display separately.  Not sure if this is what you are after.  But I couldn't find any other to get it to separate them.
