I am getting the error "The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connect to complete this action" OWA works fine without any certificate errors. I tried the website www.testexchangeconnectivity.com all all the tasks pass except for the last one with the following error.

ExRCA is attempting to build certificate chains for certificate
OU="Member, VeriSign Trust Network", OU=Authenticated by VeriSign, OU=Terms of use at www.verisign.co.uk/cps/testca (c)05,

A certificate chain couldn't be constructed for the certificate.

Additional Details
The certificate chain couldn't be built. You may be missing required intermediate certificates.

I am using SBS 2003 as a single server.

This was the answer. When I was getting the error I was changing the option back (as one normally would!) and didn't restart the server.

On the RPC-HTTP tab, click on RPC-HTTP Back-End Server.

You might get an error:

Exchange System Manager There is no RPC-HTTP front-end in your Exchange organization. There must be at least one RPC-HTTP front-end server in the organization before the RPC-HTTP back-end server can be accessed.

Acknowledge the error.

Click Ok all the way out.
You need to reboot your server for the settings to take place.
