VPN tunnael failed error

I changed ISP and am not able to establish VPN connections. I can ping the address but it will not connect. I can connect to the address from a open internet connection using a cellular card. I am useing Windows 7 ultimate i am in a domain enviroment.

did you update your access lists with the new Public IP Address from your vendor?  Specifically the GRE Protocol and the PPTP port 1723

Should be on your firewall/router at the site where your ISP changed.

Just got ahold of the ISP and they said that port was being denied. but had to be handled by a different group. when change is made i will update.

The router on the other end had propritary protocol the answer led us in the right direction thank you.
