Hi ,

The below error message is found on the event viewer. I have found that the service is already started and there is no event log to indicate that the DCOM service has started.

Any advise?

DCOM got error “The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.” Attempting to start the service wuauserv with arguments “” in order to run the server: {E60687F7-01A1-40AA-86AC-DB1CBF673334}

    Accepted Solution

    This appears to be caused by the Windows automatic update services not running or being disabled. If you disabled it on purpose, you can safely ignore this message.

    I found very little on TechNet related to wuauserv and this error. I had the same error appear on a server directly after disabling the update services and that was the advice I got at the time as well.
