Dear All,

I need your help answering the following:

1- Can I have in one plan two kinds of plans (E1 & E3)?

2- If I purchase 100 users, and then I delete 10 users, what will happen for the money which is related to the 10 deleted users?

3- What the meaning of choosing what exactly the office 365 users can use? In another word, I saw that I can select or unselect “office professional” or “Lync” license for users, for what I can use this?

    Accepted Solution

    1. yes you can, we have this at some clients.

    2. the 10 users you deleted the licences are free'd up to use on future mailboxes you want to create. Or if youre sure you wont need them in the future you can call up the 365 helpdesk and get them refunded.

    3. this is just to give you more control on a per user basis, if you want just users in the sales department to use lync, you can do that.

    Dear justinoleary911,

for question# 1, how I can do that?

do I have to purchase a number of licenses from each plan?

and how I can assign this per the users?

create the user and they can logon to login and get the subscription level software.

There are many tools available to help automate this process.. mixing plans would mean putting the users in different OU's though (for convenience of automating the process)

minimum # of users per plan is 1

    1. its just a matter of purchasing different licences.  I attached a screen shot of the the 2 plans we have at a client, most have plan 1 licences and some users have plan 2 licences. In the link on the left you see manage and purchase, all you do is purchase whatever licence you need and assign it.

    2. you only need 1 licence for whatever plan you want.

    3. to assign the licence you need to create a user under new user, then it will prompt you to assign a licence and its a simple check box.  Once the licence is assigned the user will have a mailbox.
