The Web Proxy filter failed to bind its socket to ip address port 443

Hi There,

I have an SBS 2003 PREMIUM and my external QWA link is not working, so users are unable to get there emails etc. However the QWA link works internally.

I am getting the following erroe in evert log

Description: The Web Proxy filter failed to bind its socket to 192.168.1.10 port 443. This may have been caused by another service that is already using the same port or by a network adapter that is not functional. To resolve this issue, restart the Microsoft Firewall service. The error code specified in the data area of the event properties indicates the cause of the failure.

Can any one assit on this.

1)new Switch has ben installed
2) WAN nic in Broadband router

Expect you have Sharepoint running on port 443 and the sbs server's external ip address already.

Bizarre approach to take seeing as you are running SBS - be interesting to see what happens when you begin using all of the other SBS services in the future that share the 443 port.
