where can i find Sql/oracle to download and free to install.

I simply enjoy express editions of visual studio which is easy to install and work . I need similar tools to work with database like [Sql,Oracle] which should be free to install with limited functionality is more than enough.  So far , my hands are tied when it comes to install databases . Is there any link available to install limited version of sql/oracle and its should be free forever .

Configuration.
Windows7,64bit os

Oracle Express Edition

you do need a member login for Oracle Technology Network (OTN) but it's free to register

SQL Developer is a GUI like tool for accessing/creating objects.

Oracle Express Edition (XE) is totally free database.

Admin functions can be performed through the web based dbConsole which is part of the database.

Most Oracle products are 'free' for development and education use.

They can all be found at:

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Regarding expressing edition either oracle/Sql ?

I never installed databases on this system whether express edition can provide to create tables storeprocedure etc etc and access them in visual studio  . I am assuming that express edition are like tool to connect database as am not having database itself will that work . Please correct me if am wrong?

Express Editions are the databases themselves.

For Oracle and .Net, ODP.Net is really the only choice.  It can also be found usingthe same link I provided.  Look for the Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC).

It depends on what bit level of apps you will be developing.  They need to match.

You need that one for 32Bit apps.

You need the 64Bit drivers for 64Bit apps.

The 64Bit ODAC is here:

The one you want to use.  Sorry but that is the best answer I can provide.  I cannot tell you what to use since I don't know what you need to use it for.

I do a lot with .Net and don't use Visual Studio so the XCopy deployment works for me.  If you do a lot with Visual Studio then you might want the tools.

Won't the new question be the same as this one?

Anyway I can answer it here:
Download Oracle XE and install it.  This will create a database for you.

Then creating a table is pretty simple.  Either doewnload and use SQL Developer or run the sqlplus (command line) that comes with XE.

Create an app user so you don't use SYS or SYSTEM then issue the "CREATE TABLE" DDL.

OracleXE is the database.
SQL Developer is the GUI.

ODP.Net (ODAC) is the provider to get .Net working with an Oracle database.
