Folder Replication Issue

We have a server running Windows Server SBS 2011.  Our issue is this.  We just happened to notice that the desktop document folders are pointing to a non-existent server instead of the new server.  The non-existent server is off-line and scrapped.  How can I get the folder to redirect to the SBS2011 server without losing the documents that have been saved in the current location which the desktop thinks is the old server.  I’m afraid if I remove the link to the old server the documents will be lost.

most likely the desktop documents have not replicated and are being stored offline.  If you change the target namespace everything should be fine after the initial replication.

Is that done in group policy or on the desktop itself?
Also, if there are files on the new server will the replication replace those files on the server or will the files replace the files on the desktop?
its done via group policy.  however ins sbs its done during the sbs setup and connecting users.
