Windows server 2008 / Exchange 2007 backup software

I have a 2008 server with Exchange 2007 that is experiencing an array corruption.  The server is still up and running, but I have been told that it may crash today, next week, or next year.  There is no telling.

The only correction for the problem is to delete the array, create a different arry with a different geometry, delete that array, and the create an array with the geometry I have now.  I will then need to restore from backup.

I did not mention that this server is also a backup domain controller.

Because we do not want to restore the corruption in the array, I have been told we must perform a file level backup and not an image level backup.  I have also been told the restore must be an "Authoritative Restore" (since the server is a domain colntroller).  I was told to call our backup software vendor, and ask these questions.

Therein lies the problem.  We use Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 / Acronis Recovery for MS Exchange as our backup software.  Acronis does not have a phone number for support calls.

I need to change backup software fast, and am looking for suggeations.  A backup solution must have the following features:

1. Good Technical support
2. Ability to backup to USB disk.
3. Ability to backup domain controller.
4. Ability to backup Exchange 2007
5. Ability to perform an Authorative Restore.
6. Ability to create a boot media so the OS/applications will not have to be reinstalled to perform the restore.

Will appreciate your comments.

Backup Exec can do all of this, it is what I use.  There may be other programs out there that are cheaper and can do this as well, but that is what I can recommend.

I've done everything you listed prior with the later version of BE.

I use Dell AppAssure for these functions. It performs file level backup via VSS.

Does Backup Exec 2012 perform the backup of the MS Exchange 2007 natively, or does it require and Agent for Exchange?

Thanks

DerekFGCommented:
It requires the agent for Exchange.

It requires agents for master server to contact Agents on the App server to take backup.

Also if you upgrade the Backup Exec version you will need to upgrade the Agents as well.
