Data Pattern Software?

I have a spreadsheet that I have to review daily that consist of IP addresses and a timestamps.  I pivot table this data so I can see all the date/time values for each IP address  Then based off that I determine what might be a pattern.  For example, I've got a date time stamp that keeps reflecting outbound activity every 10 minutes.  Naturally, this would raise suspicion and need to be checked.

I'm using 10 minutes as an example but it might even be something that happening every 5 minutes, then it takes a break and 15 minutes later it trys again every five minutes...I'm looking for patterns.  I'm curious if thier is an Add-In or software that can assist me with this because the worksheet becomes rather large. and sifting through it takes a lot of time.   Nothing replaces the human eye, however I think with something like this it would help greatly.

Couldn't you just look at an average/count by IP address?

If you don't have a lot of IP addresses, you could graph activity as a histogram?  Series by IP, Y axis by count in a time frame, x axis by time frames.

I'm confused. Does the histogram idea work or not?
Yes, you may have to massage the data a little bit, although I'm not sure what method you used, as Excel shouldn't care what format the labels(IP addresses) are in, but removing the dots doesn't invalid the method of the answer.
"Histogram's do not like IP Addresses."   It does not work.
Histogram will not work in this case because it's not accepting IP format
