sbs 2008 backup

I added a drive to my sbs 2008 and need to add that drive to my backup.  Can you one of you experts walk me thru that?  We have a full and a daily back up that runs via sbs's backup.  I think is a full backup on Sunday and incremental all other days.

Click Start > Right click Computer > Manage > Disk Management > Select MBR if the Disk Management asks you which type (could be MBR or GPT) > Right click the disk down in the Disk Management Console > Format >

The rest is cake...

got to Disk Mgmt, but not seeing MBR.   Also, "format"?  I need to add G drive to the daily backup...wouldn't "Format' erase and format the drive?

You'll have to format the new disk you added.  Is the disk a hot swappable disk, or does your server not support that.  It probably is, just would like to know.

When you opened up Disk Management do you see your new hard drive down below?

With SBS the proper way to add the drive is attach and then go to the SBS console | backup and server storage | Backup | highlight the backup | from the menu on the right choose "add or remove backup destinations".

However sometimes this does not work.  If that happens you need to either attach all backup drives at the same time and repeat, or follow Philip Elder's instructions to use WBadmin

Some drives will not work. There is a wiki regarding supported drives and issues:

The disk still needs initialized.
