Do the old fashioned way.  SBS tries to make things easy for IT admins who want simple.

hehe, so nothing more than the annoying application that consumes millions of MBs of valuable ram?

Do the old fashion way, much more simple than following wizard and get confused. Not much of benefit using wizard but using the old way will save you time.

    The main benefit is profiles...

Using the wizard it allows you to associate an existing user profile on the system to the new domain profile - thus moving the files&settings over to the new account...that's the real timesaver

But as other experts mention the old fashioned way still works...

    Accepted Solution

Obviously most of the above are not familiar with SBS.

    SBS Standard:
With SBS 2003 http://SBSname/connectcomputer did an unbelievable amount of additional tasks and it was very important to use it for the end user to gain the full SBS experience.

With SBS 2008/2011 http://Connect is far less important as almost all of those same features are pushed out with group policy rather than the wizard.  Currently the two main advantages of using it are it places the PC in the correct active directory OU, and it copies the existing user's local profile.
From more information about the pros and cons see:

    SBS Essentials:
With Essentials again it has become very important to use the wizard.  The wizard again joins the domain, adds the computer to the correct OU, copies the users profile and a few other tasks but most importantly it installs the “Windows Server LAN Configuration” Service.  This service is necessary for managing server access since Essentials uses the routers DHCP service and the server’s IP could change.

If you work with SBS long enough you will learn:
    ALWAYS use the wizards
Always install all components even if you do not plan to use them
    Accept defaults whenever possible
