Application console very slow

Hi

I have an application server named Server1 holding an app named APP. Recently, APP has been quite slow. It needs to talk to various other servers in the domain, so the connectivity to one of these maybe faulty.

Server1 IP : 192.168.10.10

The other servers it needs to connect to are; 192.168.10.20, 192.168.10.30, 192.168.10.40

I can ping these fine without any major packet loss.

I was thinking of running Wireshark to find out what was going on. However when I launch Wireshark there is so much stufff going on. Could someone advise the best filters etc to use and what exactly I am looking for?

Start by filtering out the hosts it is supposed to be talking to:

Dst Host not 192.168.10.20 and dst host not192.168.10.30 and dst host not 192.168.10.40

Unless you want to see just that traffic, in which case take out the not

Then start filtering out management traffic like dhcp, arp, icmp, snmp etc... And see what is left..see who else your server is talking to.

Heres a wiki with some filters to limit what is captured:

And some to filter what has been captured:
