Printer HP Deskjet 882c

I have been forced to go to Windows 7 64 bit.

I have an "old" HP Deskjet 882c.

I went to the HP site & it said they only have a driver for USB connection; this printer connects via an old fashioned printer cable,

How can I make it work?

Thanks

assuming you can make the driver install and funciton under 64 bit you can connect it with somehting like this

http://www.maplin.co.uk/usb-to-printer-cable-98711?n=1&C=found

Its not expensive but i would check the driver works first

rkorts--With the cost of today's printers starting so low, you might consider a new one--especially if you are going to have to but ink cartridges for the HP Deskjet 882c.

Trash the old printer as it will cost more in the long-run....mainteinance, ink, etc.
Enjoy a new printer...that can use non brand (cheap) refill ink.

OK, so no simple solutions.

Just spend more money.

FYI, 24 british pounds (about $40 - $48 US) is NOT cheap.

1 set of new ink (brand) cartridges will cost as much as a new printer..thus my comment: ID: 38308292

Yes, you might want to use the Request Attention link just below your question to ask them to reopen it, because according to the 880/882c specs, it has both parallel and USB ports.

So all you need to buy is a male-A to male-B USB cord for it.
