Modify PST

How do I break up a large outlook PST file into several smaller .PST's
1 Solution
You have two choices here.

a) You can buy a piece of software that will do it for.  One example is http://www.splitpst.com/divideoutlook.html.  However, if you don't foresee yourself needing to do this several times, try the second option...

b) Manually split the PST.  You can create a new data file (PST), then drag some messages out of the existing one into the new one.  This will reduce the size of the original PST.  Create as many new data files as required.

See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/create-and-use-pst-data-files-in-different-versions-of-outlook-HP001231987.aspx#BM3 for instructions on creating a new PST.
